treasure houses one of the largest textile history collections in the
world -- books, images, textile samples, garments, household textiles,
textile-making tools and equipment. On-going exhibition,"Textiles in
America", history of clothmaking from 1700s to 1900s; three or four
temporary exhibitions per year.
